BRADFORD Grammar School was the top- performing independent school in West Yorkshire in this year’s A-levels.

Figures from the Independent Schools Council show that the Manningham school had the highest average Universities and Colleges Admissions Service points score per A-level student in the region.

Head teacher Simon Hinchliffe (pictured) said: “I am delighted to congratulate our students on some outstanding A-level results this year, with a 100 per cent pass rate and 52 per cent of all grades being at A* or A.

“This is a hugely positive headline and when you look at the detail it’s clear to see that value has been added across the board, not just at the very top end, and that all students have worked tremendously hard to reach and very often exceed expectations. This is testimony to the outstanding all-round education provided by the school, and these results, that show Bradford Grammar as the top performing independent school in West Yorkshire, reflect this ethos.”
