SCOUTS from the 1st Ben Rhydding group enjoyed a week of fun, challenge and adventure on a summer camp in Northumberland.
The 29 youngsters stayed on a farm near to Alnwick, where they created their own 'Scouting village' for the week, cooking on open fires and developing their independence.
Scout leader, Graham Ramsden, said: "The programme for the week was full of fun and adventure.
"Amongst many highlights was a day hosted by RAF Boulmer at their base where they worked with the Scouts on a number of leadership challenges so they learned how to develop trust amongst one another. Another highlight was a two-day expedition up the beautiful Northumberland coast to Seahouses, which finished off with a trip out to the Farne Islands.
"They were also joined by nine Scouts from the 2nd Jersey Scout Group in the Channel Islands, and many made new friendships."
