YOUNGSTERS from Bradford are having a magical time performing in Disneyland Paris this weekend.

Performers from DM Academy in Shipley were invited to audition last year, following their appearance at London’s O2 Arena.

Tomorrow 40 youngsters, aged from seven to 18, will perform in the Main Parade, joining Mickey Mouse and the gang at Disneyland.

“This trip has been in the planning for a year and the children have been rehearsing on Saturday afternoons since Easter. We’ve just had a three-day intensive rehearsal spell,” said DM Academy principal Deana Morgan. “We are staging our own 20-minute dance production featuring jazz and street dance with a beautiful Latin flavour finale, on the CineMagique stage as well as a specifically choreographed routine forthe Main Street Parade on Sunday afternoon.

“The students will work with a Disney choreographer on Sunday morning to rehearse the parade before it opens, giving them an insight into what being a cast member at Disney is all about.”
