GOALKEEPER Rouven Sattelmaier has joined City on a one-year deal.
The 28-year-old German will compete with Colin Doyle and Joe Cracknell for the role.
Sattelmaier spent two years with Bayern Munich but did not play a senior game. He played last season with Stuttgart Kickers, the club where Edin Rahic was on the board, although they ended up being relegated from the Bundesliga third tier.
He featured in the opening friendly against Guiseley, pulling off one stunning save, and returned to the club at the beginning of this week.
Stuart McCall said: "Rouven has come over here and trained with us so we know about him. We probably need three keepers for this season and he will fight for the starting place."
