THE housing charity Shelter is holding a free exhibition featuring iconic photographs taken in poor areas of Bradford in the 1960s.
The collection of pictures, taken by photographer Nick Hedges, will be on show for the first time at the Winter Gardens in Sheffield from Monday, August 1, to Sunday, August 7.
The charity is encouraging anyone who recognised themselves, friends or family in the pictures to get in touch as part of a nationwide project.
Mr Hedges, who is now in his 70s, said: “The poverty and terrible conditions I witnessed shocked me to the core, and I never imagined that decades later they would still have such an impact.
“I hope that all these years later I am able to reconnect with some of those families I photographed and hear their stories."
