CREWS from three fire stations dealt with a fire at a business in Manningham this morning.
Firefighters from Fairweather Green, Bradford and Shipley were called to reports of a blaze at Exquisite Decorations on White Abbey Road just before 10am.
When they arrived they found the roof of the building on fire, but managed to contain it before it could cause much damage to the shop beyond a store room.
The fire was caused when a pile of wood pallets stacked against the rear of the building was set alight.
Fairweather Green Watch Commander Peter Hanson said: "We managed to stop the fire from spreading to the actual shop itself. We managed to contain it so it caused minimal damage to the business and products.
"The roof of a storage area will need to be replaced.
"We'd like to point out to businesses tha dangers of leaving flammable materials next to their buildings."
He said the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but that the business plans to inform the police.
The fire also damaged a nearby streetlight, which required a call out to electricians.
