ONE man and a boy, arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence after a “large disturbance” in Manningham, have been bailed.

The males, aged 16 and 25, were arrested following an incident in Devonshire Terrace, off St Mary's Road, involving between "40 and 50 people" on Saturday night.

By the time the police arrived, they found those involved had left the scene, but two people were arrested in connection with the incident a short time later.

Witnesses reported that St Mary's Road had been sealed off on Saturday night, with armed police and police dogs at the scene.

The police helicopter was also said to have been involved.  A West Yorkshire Police spokesman today confirmed the two males had been arrested and subsequently bailed.

Investigations into the incident are continuing, and anyone with information should contact Bradford district CID on 101.
