Man arrested on Bradford bus over Leeds rape
A MAN was arrested on a bus in Bradford this morning by police investigating a rape in Leeds.
The 57-year-old man, from Leeds, was arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault on a woman in Leeds city centre yesterday.
He was on a bus in the Greengates area of Bradford at the time of the arrest. He has been transported back to custody in Leeds.
The man was arrested on suspicion of rape in connection with an incident involving a 36-year-old woman near to The Palace pub, in Kirkgate, Leeds, shortly before 6am yesterday.
The arrest follows an appeal for information last night which received a significant response from members of the public.
