DETECTIVES are investigating a shooting in Bradford.

At about 11.18pm yesterday, police were called to reports of group fighting outside The Greenwood Inn public house in Bierley Lane, Bierley.

Both callers mentioned that a gun and a knife had been seen.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Armed officers attended and found all quiet on arrival."

No injuries were reported.

"Enquiries at the scene revealed that a firearm had been discharged. A vehicle was also found abandoned a short distance away," the spokesman added.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and remains in custody today.

The vehicle was also recovered.

When the Telegraph & Argus visited the scene this morning, residents reported that a gun had been produced and posts on Facebook suggested shots had been fired at a house.
