SUSPECTS, accused of the murder of Bradford father-to-be Imran Khan, may make bail applications, an inquest heard today.

Bradford Coroner Martin Fleming was also told that 30-year-old Mr Khan, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head outside his home in Round Street, West Bowling, was identified by his brother, and police fingerprints.

Detective Inspector Richard Holmes, of the murder investigation team, told this morning's hearing that four men had been charged with Mr Khan's murder, appeared in court and been remanded in custody.

Det Insp Holmes said there had been no bail applications "as yet," but "I envisage there may be."

Mr Khan was shot at around 8pm on Monday, June 6. He died the same evening in Leeds General Infirmary.

Coroner's officer Marie Silvester said Mr Khan was identified by his brother, Usman, and police fingerprints.

Mr Fleming said he had heard the "tragic circumstances" of a gunshot wound to the head.

Det Insp Holmes said extensive inquiries were ongoing in the Bradford area.

Mr Fleming said he would formally suspend his investigation until the outcome of crown court proceedings.

Amjad Khan, 30, of New Cross Street, West Bowling; Ismail Khan, 31, of Masham Place, Heaton; Ziaurahman Khan, 30, of Spring Mill Street, West Bowling; and 28-year-old Mohammed Faisal Riaz, of Ryan Street, West Bowling, have all ben charged with Mr Khan's murder and will next appear at Bradford Crown Court on July 25.

Mr Khan's wife is said to be due to give birth next month.
