FOUR Bradford men have appeared in court today charged with murder.

Father-to-be Imran Khan, who was 30, died after a shooting incident in Round Street, West Bowling, on Monday night.

This morning Amjad Khan, aged 30, of New Cross Street, near Bowling Park; Ismail Khan, aged 31, of Masham Place, Heaton, Ziaurahman Khan, aged 30, of Springmill Street, West Bowling, and Mohammed Faisal Riaz, aged 28, of Ryan Street, West Bowling, appeared together in the secure dock at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court.

They spoke only to confirm their names, ages and addresses during the four-minute hearing. They were flanked by five security guards and were remanded in custody to appear via video link at Bradford Crown Court on Tuesday.

Bail applications can no longer be heard in magistrates courts.

Meanwhile, detectives have bailed for further enquiries a 34-year-old man, also from Bradford, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Two other men, aged 21 and 22, also remain on bail.

When the Telegraph & Argus visited the scene shorlty after the incident, crime scene investigation and scientific support vehicles were in attendance, with a police van blocking off the entrance to Round Street from Gaythorne Road. 

A separate cordon had been put in place half way down Round Street, being patrolled by officers. 

A number of back streets were also cordoned off, including a section half way along St Stephen's Road and a snicket.
