The funeral of boxing legend Muhammad Ali will be shown on the big screen in Bradford today via a live feed from the BBC news channel.
The funeral procession will start at 2pm and from 7pm there will be live coverage of Ali’s memorial service. It is expected that there will also be coverage of celebrations marking Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday during the 2pm to 7pm period.
Coun Susan Hinchcliffe, Leader of Bradford Council, said: "Muhammad Ali was a well-respected human rights activist as well as a sporting hero. It’s understandable therefore that we have had requests to show the service on the Big Screen in City Park and we are pleased to be able to do so."
