New joint-owner Edin Rahic speaks exclusively to City reporter SIMON PARKER and answers the key questions that fans might want to ask:

Q: DO YOU PLAN TO CHANGE THE CLUB'S IMAGE IN ANY WAY?

A: We want to develop the club but keep it as a family club, otherwise we could have chosen one in London.

That is important. It's a working class club and we prefer it because the people are honest and open.

We don't want to change it into a company. It's a family club but it can also be successful with this marketing image.

Q: DID YOU HAVE ANY SAY IN FREEZING THE SEASON-TICKET PRICES AT £149?

A: We fully supported it and we would have done if they had got promoted as well. It's very important for us.

We have been here several times and there was a great atmosphere at Valley Parade.

We want to keep the prices at the same level. It's a win-win situation and we also want to have high season-ticket numbers, probably higher so that in two or three years we have a sold-out stadium. It's a great idea and we wouldn't change it.

Q: DO YOU HAVE A FOOTBALL BACKGROUND?

A: When I was younger, I was a left winger.

People told me I had a great talent but I don't think I had the mind or the passion for football at the time. I was injured and twice broke my Achilles.

But I stayed in football and was a scout for Ralf Rangnick at Stuttgart. I was also a member of the board at Stuttgart Kickers and was one of the people who helped rescue the club from bankruptcy.

EXCLUSIVE: NEW BRADFORD CITY OWNERS PROMISE NO HIDDEN AGENDA

Stefan (co-owner Rupp) also has a sporting background and used to play ice hockey. He sold his company Fischer seats one and a half years ago and has been an investor since then.

I've known him for years and it was our idea to show that it's not just English clubs buying German players. We wanted to turn it around to say as Germans it was a great chance to step in and buy an English club.

Q: IS THERE ANYONE ELSE INVOLVED OR IS IT JUST YOU TWO?

A: We are the only shareholders of the club and it's with our own money. It is just Stefan and I, nobody else, and we are not interested to have any other shareholders.

Q: DO YOU KNOW PEOPLE IN THE GAME?

A: I have a really good network in football, not in England but Europe and that's positive to mix it. It must be used. That's a benefit for the club.

If you can get young German or European players at a good price compared to England, then why not. As long as they play with their heart for Bradford.

Q: DO YOU PLAN TO MOVE TO ENGLAND?

A: I will relocate with my family. It shows we are not owners from a long way away.

I want to be hands-on, otherwise I wouldn't relocate with my whole family. I want to influence it because it's my money and Stefan's money but everyone has a responsibility.

Q: CITY HAVE GOT A REPUTATION FOR STEADY PROGRESS BUT DO YOU PLAN TO TAKE RISKS?

A: You see the heritage of the club and we don't want to change a lot of things. It's totally wrong what other owners do with the colours and things like that and we wouldn't disrespect the history.

It's really important to see where Bradford comes from and also look at the last 15 years. We will not get into a risk position with the club.

We want to do it step by step. In some situations we can take a risk but it must be covered from the club.

Q: THERE HAS BEEN SPECULATION ABOUT PHIL PARKINSON'S FUTURE. CAN YOU CLARIFY THAT?

A: Phil has a contract until 2018 and we are not interested in changing anything. The question is "why should we?" We have to start a relationship. I've seen the success he has had and see no reason for change.

Q: CAN PARKINSON EXPECT A BIG BUDGET TO WORK WITH?

A: I can say more after 100 days but it's clear we don't want to put the club in any financial risk.

Why should we talk now about £5million, £6million, £7million? We have to understand the squad first.

The target is, of course, promotion and we will do everything we can to give Phil the chance to have a good squad.

It's a really good squad with experienced players under contract for next season. But we also need young players. We need a good mix of both.

Look at who was promoted this season. Wigan with a huge budget and Burton Albion with a small one – it shows it is about the team.

It's important to have young players under permanent contract and not just as loans.

Q: HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT BUYING BACK VALLEY PARADE?

A: It's nice if you're in the Premier League. But in League One you have to concentrate on getting a good budget and putting money in the first team.

We have never spoken with the landlord and now is not the point to discuss this. It's about the squad and the employees and how we can develop and be more professional.

Q: WILL YOU HAVE ANY INPUT IN TEAM SELECTION?

A: The manager decides who plays but we win together and we lose together. That's the only chance with a club like Bradford to be successful.

People don't need to come because of the owners. They come to see Bradford.

We will do everything to build a framework for the employees and the fans. But it's about teamwork.
