UNDERWATER search teams are being used by police in the hunt for a missing Bradford man.
Derrick Fisher, 57, went missing from his home in Springdale Crescent, Greengates, at about midnight last Thursday.
Specialist officers, aided by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, have been searching the Leeds and Liverpool Canal around Apperley Bridge.
Mr Fisher, who has been described as 'vulnerable' by police, is 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build, with short fair hair which is greying. He is believed to have been wearing a blue checked shirt when he was last seen.
A police spokesman said there is also a possibility Mr Fisher has travelled to North Yorkshire, although he is not thought to have left his home in a vehicle.
The spokesman added: "Officers have been conducting extensive enquiries to locate him and are now extremely concerned for his welfare."
Anyone who has seen or heard from Mr Fisher, or who knows where he is, can contact Bradford District Police on 101 quoting log number 0010 of May 6.
