STAFF and customers at Yorkshire Building Society branches have helped a charity fundraising campaign blossom.
Branches of the Bradford-based mutual sold daffodil pin badges, donated clothes and held raffles last month in support of Marie Curie.
The effort, for the Great Daffodil Appeal, raised £25,000.
Funds will boost the society's Hour of Need initiative, which aims to coin-in £1 million for the charity by the end of this year.
"We have been overwhelmed by the level of support people have shown for the Hour of Need campaign," said Sasha Pauley, for the society.
"The money raised last month alone will help provide 1,250 hours of nursing care for people living with a terminal illness."
Jude Bridge, of Marie Curie, said: "We're really grateful to Yorkshire Building Society staff and customers for their amazing fundraising efforts."
