A CAT from Bradford, who weighs more than twice as much as she should, has reached the finals of a UK pet slimming competition.
Lucy, who weighs 1st 5lbs and is around 120 per cent overweight, will battle against 12 other fat pets, including dogs, cats and a rabbit, in the final of the PDSA Pet Fit Club.
Lucy's owner, Vicky Wood, 85, of Low Moor, mistakenly believed the cat was pregnant and fed her double portions.
As part of Pet Fit Club the white and ginger moggy will embark on a strict six-month diet and exercise programme, tailored by the vets and nurses at Bradford PDSA Pet Hospital in East Bowling.
