TWO children's authors took part in a mini-tour of Bradford libraries as part of a 'Dinosaur Day'.

Louise Aaron and Steve Howson, who have both written dinosaur books for children, took part in reading sessions and games with children.

They attended Clayton library in the morning before visiting Baildon library in the afternoon, and along with reading their books to the children the authors also took part in parachute games.

Children were also able to make their very own dinosaurs which they could take home with them.

Louise Aaron, of Wyke, has published a new picture book titled Jamasaurus, which is about a dinosaur who loves jam.

She was joined by York-based author Steve Howson, who wrote the book Hocus Pocus Diplodocus, a story about a dinosaur who was the world's first magician.

As well as the two books by Ms Aaron and Mr Howson, Bradford Council - which runs Clayton and Baildon libraries - made sure that the libraries were both well stocked with lots of dinosaur related books for the children to borrow on the day.
