CHARITIES and social enterprises in Bradford and Keighley have been awarded Government grants to help secure their finances.
Six organisations based in the Bradford district have received money from the Cabinet Office’s Local Sustainability Fund.
The successful grant applicants, and their awards, are:
* Bradford Youth Development Partnership (£60,140).
* Mind in Bradford (£56,957)
* Bradford Community Environmental Project (£70,000)
* Regeneration organisation Inspired Neighbourhoods (£63,615)
* Keighley-based drug and alcohol charity Project 6 (£59,447)
* Purple Patch Arts, based in Little Germany (£73,009)
Minister for Civil Society, Rob Wilson, said: "Many congratulations to those successful in their Local Sustainability Fund applications.
"The fund will equip smaller charities with the skills they need to firm up their long-term sources of income and reduce their dependence on short-term funding solutions."
