A driver caught using their mobile phone at the wheel sent West Yorkshire Police a very honest reply to a caution for the offence.

The Force's Roads Policing Unit received the handwritten response this afternoon.

It said: "Just give me the points and fine - I did the mobile phone course yesterday. It was as boring as hell x."

The team shared a picture of the note on social media and said: "Driver caught on mobile phone, his reply after caution. Some will never learn."

One Twitter user suggested the driver should get six points added to their licence "for sheer arrogance and ignorance."
