A BRADFORD man is to stand trial accused of raping a girl aged 13 and perverting the course of justice by offering money to get her out of the country.
Tariq Syed, 62, of Pemberton Drive, Little Horton, is on bail to attend Bradford Crown Court for the five-day trial which is scheduled to start on August 22.
He pleaded not guilty yesterday to raping the girl on September 25, 2014, and causing her mother actual bodily harm five days later.
Syed also denies attempting to pervert the course of public justice by offering money to persuade mother and daughter to return to Romania.
