PEOPLE in Bradford are being warned to prepare for snow, after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice.

The warning is in place today and will last until noon tomorrow, with higher areas being warned to expect between two to five centimetres of snow.

The warning covers the Bradford district, as well as most of north-eastern England and Scotland.

The Met Office's chief forecaster has also warned people to remain vigilant for ice in untreated areas, in particular in areas where there will be showers today and overnight.
