THE family of a Bradford mum, who is believed to have been murdered by her partner who then killed himself, has described her as an open force of nature.

Margarida Rufino was found dead with multiple stab wounds on January 31 at the home in Cross Road, Idle, she shared with teacher Anthony Roberts, 37.

Ms Rufino, 38, a director as at occupational health company who was known Guida, was described by her family as "an open force of nature with a zest for life" in a death notice placed in the Telegraph & Argus.

It added she was a devoted mother to Isabel and was the daughter of Ventura Rufino and Cecilia Da Costa.

A celebration of her life will be at Rawdon Crematorium next Wednesday at 3pm where friends have been asked to follow Ms Rufino's wish and wear colourful clothes.

The notice said she was a friend to everyone and touched many lives and read: "Your presence we miss, your memories we treasure. We'll love you always, forget you never."

Police were called to a report of a domestic incident at the house and had to force their way in through the back of the locked property.

They found Ms Rufino's body under a blood-stained sheet and discovered Mr Roberts dying upstairs in a bath with a stab wound to his leg.

Attempts were made to save were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The couple's two-year-old daughter was not at home at the time of the incident. The pair had been in a relationship for about five years and had lived at the house since their daughter was born.

An inquest into their deaths has been adjourned until May 31 while police investigations continue.
