RHYS Lovegrove has joined the Bulls on a one-month trial and could make his debut in Saturday’s trip to Whitehaven.
The former Hull KR forward has arrived at Odsal after leaving London Broncos having previously spent just under a decade at Craven Park.
The 28-year-old Australian made over 130 appearances for Rovers over a seven-year period and will bolster a squad currently missing props Steve Crossley, Mitch Clark, Paul Clough and Ben Kavanagh through injury.
Head coach Jimmy Lowes said: “Rhys brings a lot of experience to the middle, whether he plays front row or loose forward.
“He is a tough player who plays the game in a very physical manner and he’ll add that to the squad.
“He’ll bring his toughness and experience to the pack and add quality amongst the battle for places.
“We’ve said if quality became available we’d add it to our squad, and with Rhys I feel we’ve done exactly that.”
