AN INDIAN bar and eatery in Bradford will mark the Tibetan and Chinese new years with a party tomorrow.

The 1875 recently opened on the city’s historic Ivegate.

Guests will be treated to traditional Indian music from Vijay Venkat, musician-in-residence at Kala Sangam Arts Centre.

The restaurant used to be was previously based in Menston, but has now moved to Bradford.

The 1875 Owner Manjinder Sarai said: “We’re delighted to have relocated to Bradford centre at a time of rebirth for the city.

"This week is a most important one in the Asian calendar, with Tibetan and Chinese New Year festivities going on.

“New Year is, itself, a time of rebirth, so we thought it would be the perfect occasion to celebrate our own relaunch with all our friends in Bradford, new and old.

“We hope it’s going to be a special night for everyone.”
