BRADFORD Park Avenue are hoping to get back in action tonight after the frustration of a postponement at the weekend.

Martin Drury’s men have home advantage in the West Riding County Cup semi-finals and host Ossett Albion just a week after beating neighbouring National League outfit FC Halifax Town in a last-eight tie.

The pure adrenaline of that win – 5-3 on penalties after a 3-3 draw with the Shaymen – was still coursing through their veins when their National League North clash with Corby Town was called off on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch at the Horsfall Stadium.

Ossett Albion play their football in the Evo-Stik Division One North so are league rivals of Farsley Celtic and Brighouse Town. Tonight’s visitors beat Garforth Town in their quarter-final.

The weather forecast is favourable so the cup tie has a good chance of going ahead, unlike yesterday’s games.

Guiseley’s FA Trophy third-round replay was postponed well in advance – an early decision as Dover Athletic were their opponents.

Brighouse’s away league game at Clitheroe, the other WRC Cup semi-final between Harrogate Town and Silsden, and the Northern Counties East League Cup derby between Thackley and Eccleshill United were also washed out.
