A SERVICE in Bradford which helps victims of child sexual exploitation (CSE) has been boosted by a £8,000 donation.

Barnardo's Bradford Turnaround has received cash from the Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust over the last four years.

Turnaround, based on Manchester Road, works on the prevention of, and recovery from, child sexual exploitation and trafficking, providing support and advocacy for trafficking victims.

It gives help to young people to keep safe, dealing with relationships and issues affecting individual lives.

Diane Houldsworth, acting manager at Barnardo's Turnaround, said: "With the help of Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust we can continue providing 1-1 support and therapeutic group work to some of the districts most vulnerable young people at risk through CSE.

"Through the missing service we are committed to early intervention by delivering preventative work and raising awareness partners, parents and communities across the district."

Over the past seven years the Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust has given in excess of £4 million to good causes, including organisations that improve the health and wellbeing of people in Bradford and the surrounding area and national health-related charities that provide a clear benefit to people in the area.
