A PHOTOGRAPHIC exhibition featuring pay-as-you-feel cafes from across the country is to tour the Bradford district.

The exhibition of more than 300 pictures taken by professional photographer Shy Burhan, 37, has proved a success after going on display at Saltaire Canteen, Victoria Road, last month.

Now the exhibition will go to Forsters Bistro and Deli in Bradford from June until the end of the year.

It will also form part of the Saltaire Arts Trail in May this year and plans for it to go on show in Leeds Art Gallery in 2017 have been discussed.

Miss Burhan, of Bradford Road, Shipley, took the photographs at 21 pay-as-you-feel cafes across the country, including sites in Brighton and Birmingham, from August to November last year.

She now plans to visit further cafes later this month for new images for the Forsters Bistro and Deli exhibition.

She said: "I think its really exciting.

"I'm just documenting this. Hopefully the exhibition will tour nationally as that would be really important to push the concept of pay-as-you-feel exhibitions.

"I've had incredible support from customers for the exhibition."

Miss Burhan volunteers at Saltaire Canteen, which serves food initially destined for the bin because it is approaching its sell or use by date, but is still fine to eat.
