BRADFORD Council’s Keighley recycling centre will be open today until 4pm.

The Royd Ings Avenue site’s opening hours tomorrow have been extended until 4pm.

This is to help with the clear-up operation after the Christmas floods which affected hundreds of homes and businesses in the Bradford district, with the worst affected areas including Apperley Bridge, Shipley, Keighley and Baildon.

Skips have been placed at the following locations for flood damaged goods.

They are in various spots on Green Lane near Baildon Bridge, on Branksome Drive; on double yellow lines near the bottom of Hirst Lane, Hirst Wood Lock, Saltaire; on Old Main Street near Church/White Horse pub; at the sports club in Esholt Village; on Ash Grove.

Other skips have been placed on Waterloo Crescent, Apperley Bridge; on Florist Street, Keighley; AT Wait & Load on Castlefield Lane, Bingley; on Old Main Street, Bingley and on Wagon Lane, Bingley.
