PATIENTS and staff at a Keighley dentist had to be evacuated due to a fire in the basement.
A compressor unit caught fire at about 2pm on Monday at the Oasis dental practice in Devonshire Street.
Fire crews from Keighley and Bingley were sent to the scene.
A Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “When we got there the fire was out but there was a lot of smoke. The staff and patients had evacuated the building.
“We used a positive pressure ventilation fan to get rid of the smoke. There was very limited fire and smoke damage. They were quite lucky.”
