A VAN fallen on its side caused commuter chaos on the M62 Eastbound between Chain Bar and Gildersome earlier today.
The incident which happened shortly after 7am caused long tailbacks affecting traffic travelling towards Leeds from Huddersfield. The queues are stretching back across the tops to junction 22.
One lane had to be shut. Adjoining routes, including roads through Brighouse, are traffic-choked as commuters seek a different route.
One commuter, stuck in the traffic, said: "This is as bad as I've ever seen the M62. I've hardly moved."
