THE manager of The Broadway shopping centre in Bradford has resigned - less than a month after it opened.

A spokesman for Westfield, which runs the centre, confirmed Sue Anderson-Brown had left and that the process to recruit her successor had started.

The £260 million complex opened its doors to shoppers on November 5.

Mrs Anderson-Brown, who was appointed earlier this year, said the centre would become the "beating heart" of the city.

Speaking exclusively to the Telegraph & Argus in May, Mrs Anderson-Brown said: "I am overflowing with excitement.

"I have a very clear vision of how the Broadway is going to be, and we have an excellent team to make sure we will be unshakeable

in our promise that this will be the destination of choice."

The Westfield spokesman said: "We wish Sue all the best and look forward to announcing our new centre manager in due course."
