ORGANISERS of the annual Clayton Dickensian Market in Bradford have said preparations are well under way for a "phenomenal" event this year.
Andy Waterman, chairman of the event's committee, said this year's market would include a greater involvement of local schools, churches, and businesses than ever before.
This year's event will be raising money for four chosen charities, Mind, Smartmove, CMV Action, and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
"The market is entering its eleventh year, and that in itself is a testament to the businesses and residents of Clayton for hosting such a popular event," said Mr Waterman.
"The generosity of people never ceases to amaze us as a committee.
"This year looks to be very strong, with excitement already building in the village."
The free event, on Saturday, December 5, will start with the Snow Queen Parade, and be formally opened by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Joanne Dodds.
It will also feature a variety of stalls, food and refreshments, and live music including school choirs, local singers, and a steel band.
