A MAN accused of raping a vulnerable schoolgirl in an underground car park labelled her a "straight up slag" and said he never touched her, a jury at Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.

Sufyan Ziarab told the police his alleged victim, who was aged 13 to 14 at the time, was "just who you call a prostitute, but it's free."

Ziarab, 22, of Kendal Mellor Court, Keighley, denies two charges of raping the girl in the underground car park at the former police station in Keighley.

The jurors have seen photos of graffiti on the walls, including the girl's name, in the concrete area that Ziarab said he and his friends used as a hideout to get stoned smoking weed.

Ziarab was first interviewed by the police in July, 2012, when he was 19.

He said he knew of the girl as someone he had seen around the town in her school uniform.

He had been told she performed consensual oral sex but he had never had any contact with her.

Ziarab told the police he and his friends had been meeting up in the underground car park for a long time.

The girl had her own corner in the hideout and called people over, but it was on the other side of a wall and he did not know what went on.

"She never screamed when I was there," he said.

Ziarab added: "We don't tell her to come down. She comes herself and, when she's here, she's doing god knows what she wants to do."

He said she looked like a man. "I've never touched her. I wouldn't even touch her," he said.

It is alleged that the girl was forced to her knees by a teenager called Arif Choudhury and held by the hair when she was raped in the car park by several men.

Choudhury, a convicted drug dealer who is not in trial, had since left the country, the jury has been told.

On trial with Ziarab are: Yasser Kabir, 25, of Belgrave Road, Keighley, who denies four allegations of rape.

Tauqeer Hussain, 23, of Belgrave Road, Keighley, and Nazir Khan, 23, of Buxton Street, Keighley, who plead not guilty to three allegations of rape.

Israr Ali, 19, of Devonshire Street West, Keighley; Mohammed Sardar, 19, of Bradford Street, Lawkholme, Keighley; Saqib Younis, 29, of Bradford Street, Lawkholme, Keighley; Bilal Ziarab, 21, of Sedgwick Close, Manningham, Bradford; Zain Ali, 20, of Buxton Street, Keighley, and Faisal Khan, 27, of Buxton Street, Keighley, who deny two allegations of rape.

Rohail Iqbal, 22, of Skipton Road, Beechcliffe, Keighley; Rohail Hussain, 18, of Hawk Street, Lawkholme, Keighley, and a 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, who plead not guilty to one allegation of rape.

Mohammed Akram, 62, of Holker Street, Keighley, who denies one allegation of sexual activity with a girl aged 14.

All the alleged offences are said to have taken place in Keighley between May, 2011, and June, 2012.

The trial continues.
