VICE-chairman Brian Lymbery has paid tribute to Steve Priestley, secretary of the Bradford & District Evening League for the past ten years, who has died after a short illness.
Priestley passed away at Overgate Hospice in Elland on Monday at the age of 50.
Lymbery said: "A wicketkeeper batsman with Copley in the Foster's Halifax League, Steve fulfilled his Evening League duties with gusto.
"He did an excellent job for a number of years in running the league alongside his dad Tom.
"Steve, who was very active, will be missed – not only by the Evening League but by everyone who knew him."
