A WEST HAM fan is in hospital after being stabbed before the derby clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Hammers supporter was knifed in the abdomen outside White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Police have confirmed the 35-year-old man is in a stable condition.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and both West Ham and Tottenham are working with officers to identify those responsible.

The incident occurred near the junction of White Hart Lane and Tottenham High Road.

A knife was recovered at the scene.

Spurs won 4-1 to move within two points of the top four, thanks to two goals from Harry Kane, a Toby Alderweireld header and a late Kyle Walker strike.
