MORE than 100 Bradford Bulls staff and supporters slept at the club's ground to raise more than £12,000 for a homeless charity.

The hardy group slept at the club's Odsal stadium's Provident stand to raise funds for Centrepoint for its Sleep Out event.

Sleep Outs were also held in London and Sunderland on Thursday night for people to experience what it is like to be homeless by sleeping outside for a night.

It is the second year the club has taken part in the event in aid of the national cause.

The Bradford group brave cold and wet conditions to take part for the cause, which helps more than 300 people aged 16 to 25 in Bradford.

Robbie Hunter-Paul, Bulls' chief executive, who also took part in the event, said: "It was quite a humbling thing to see people take part and hear about Centrepoint's work.

"What was great about the event is that people from different places came together for a great cause. The sleepout also broke down barriers.

"The group had the rain to deal with which was coming down on the stand's tin roof.

"The whole point in doing the sleepout on a Thursday night is that everybody who takes part gets to go to work the next day."
