STAFF at a Bradford bank are pedalling for Pudsey to raise pounds for Children in Need.

Lloyds in Hustlergate is the base for a 24-hour cycling challenge which started today at 11am.

A group of around 15 staff are taking it in turns for a 30 to 45-minute stint on the exercise bike.

The branch also held a cake sale to raise money for tomorrow's Children in Need fundraiser.

The staff, who are due to pedal through the night, hope to raise around £1,000 and complete 250 to 300 miles on the bike.

They are competing against Lloyds branches in Leeds and Harrogate to see how can cover the most miles and raise the most money.

Assistant manager Michael Hole said: "It's been great, everyone has been getting involved. The staff have got involved and customers have been giving us encouragement.

"We covered 50 miles on the bike in the first two or three hours of the challenge."
