LOVE Bradford? Well now there’s a chance for you to show it through a new Telegraph & Argus campaign.

The opening of the new Broadway shopping centre is guaranteed to bring more people into Bradford but we also want to remind people that there’s an awful lot going on here already.

Love Bradford aims to encourage more visitors to Bradford’s shops, bars and restaurants, especially those who have stuck with the city through thick and thin while we’ve all been waiting for The Broadway shopping centre and, before it, our fabulous City Park.

The campaign will feature in a special supplement in the paper on November 17, where Bradford’s businesses will promote what they have to offer.

And we’ve also produced 3,000 Love Bradford cotton tote bags to be handed out as part of the campaign and to help our readers carry home their goods now that legislation has stopped most shops giving out free carrier bags.

Editor Perry Austin-Clarke said: “Those of us who love Bradford know it has a fantastic amount to offer and there can be no better time than the launch of The Broadway for all of us to start shouting about it and letting others know.”

Mandy Baker, T&A display advertising manager, said: “It’s not just about coming to Bradford for a couple of hours, its a full day and evening experience.

“It is encouraging people to shop locally and in their own city.”
