Police called after firefighters attacked with stones
POLICE were called out tonight when firefighters were attacked by youths armed with stones and fireworks.
Two fire engines from Bradford station were attacked as they attended reports of burning sofas in the middle of the street in Heaton.
A fire service spokesman said the trouble happened around the Bonn Road area just before 8pm. The fire crews pulled out as police were called in.
The youths ran off as police arrived, said a fire service spokesman.
There were no reports of any injuries.
