SCHOOL children have performed the honours at the reopening of Oakworth's revamped Co-op store.
Members of Oakworth Primary's school council cut the ribbon at the ceremony.
Kath Kenniford, assistant head, said: "We had the council elections this month and their first job was to represent the school by cutting the ribbon!"
The store, in Victoria Road, has been given a £350,000 makeover.
And the branch is pioneering a new Co-op community pioneer role.
A staff member will work to foster involvement in community activities, including fundraising initiatives.
Store manager Mariyam Siddique said: "We are thrilled to have made such a significant investment in Oakworth and are delighted that we have a fantastic new food store with which to serve the community – it is an exciting time for the whole team."
