A BRADFORD-BASED fashion designer has been given the opportunity to create a unique suit for world boxing champion Tyson Fury.

Imran Khan, who owns IK Collections and Makeovers in Westgate, Bradford, met the boxer while he was buying a car in Harrogate.

Mr Khan said: "He was a really nice, down to earth guy, and was such a nice person, people spotted him through the window and he had pictures with all of them.

"He said Bradford was the best place for curry!"

Mr Khan (pictured with Tyson) makes clothes for many Pakistani singers and television stars, and has also designed pieces for David Harper from the Antiques Roadshow and magician Paul Daniels.

Mr Khan said that designing a suit for the six foot nine, 18 stone Fury, who will fight Wladimir Klitschko in November to become the undisputed world heavyweight champion, was not as tricky as it seemed.

"He is quite big and built, but it wasn’t really a challenge and was quite easy to do," he said.

"His suit is black and he said he really likes waistcoats so I hope he likes the one I’ve made for him!"
