A SCHOOLGIRL is all set to say goodbye to her lovely long locks for charity.
Jorja-Mai Brown, from Thirsk Grange, Clayton, is going to have her head fully shaved later this month in aid of Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope.
Her grandmother, Edna Brown, spent her last few days there before she died so the cause is especially close to her mum Nichola Nudd's heart.
"I never got to meet my nana but mum told me the nurses at Manorlands looked after her the best they could and I want to say thank you."
The Clayton CofE primary school pupil, whose long hair is half-way down her back, is hoping to raise £1,000 before October 17 and has so far made about £200 from family and friends.
Jorja-Mai, ten, will also be sending off her chopped locks to the Little Princess Trust so it can be used to make wigs for youngsters suffering with illnesses that cause hair loss.
