POLICE have praised the riders of two off-road bikes who they stopped in Bradford.
An officer from the off-road bike team followed the quad bike and motocross bike from Eccleshill to Highfield Road, Idle.
The officer monitored the riding and stopped both vehicles, which were registered to be ridden on the road, for a routine check. One of the riders was known previously for a section 59 warning but the officer was pleased to see a good standard of riding, lawful and both riders were respectful to the officer.
PC Brian Hudson said: “It’s not often we get chance to report examples of good riding and positive attitudes towards the police but these two friends were an example to all out there that you can ride these sort of vehicles and still stay within the law. Having an approachable attitude when speaking to the bike officers always goes a long way as well."
