A driver who said he believed his new car was covered by his previous insurance has been fined £140.
Christopher Pusey-Currithers of Florist Street, Keighley, pleaded guilty to using a car without insurance. He was also given six penalty points and ordered to pay £45 costs at Skipton Magistrates' Court.
In a letter to the court, the 36-year-old said he recently bought the car and was not aware his previous insurance did not apply.
