CONTROVERSIAL plans to build homes near a school in Idle have been deferred, with a planning committee requesting a list of extra details.
The outline plans for 12 homes at Doctor Hill, had been put forward by Bradford Council.
A similar scheme for 14 houses had previously been refused, and as a result the council had removed two of the homes and reduced the height of some of them by a storey to address concerns that they would overshadow neighbouring properties.
But councillors on the Regulatory and Appeals Committee yesterday decided they could not make a decision without further details about the difference in height and how their concerns about highways safety could be addressed.
Among those to object was Paul Meszaros representing the office of Bradford East Labour MP Imran Hussain.
