A LONG-time supporter of Manorlands has given the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice another boost.

Davidson Site Services LLP has handed over £2,321, mostly raised through sponsorship of the harness racing event at Cullingworth in June in aid of the hospice.

The owner of the Starkie Street, Keighley, company, Paul Davidson (pictured) said he was delighted to back Manorlands and urged other businesses to do the same.

"I'd like to thank all our clients and friends who so generously helped us support this great cause," he said.

"Getting involved in one of the hospice events both as a sponsor and participant is very enjoyable and rewarding and I recommend that other local businesses get in touch with Manorlands and do the same."

Sue Ryder fundraiser for Keighley Andrew Wood said: "Paul has been supporting us through his business for many years now and this year he's encouraged his clients to get involved too and beat his previous record fundraising total by a substantial margin.

"We are very grateful to Paul and his team as such a large amount will cover many hours of care for local people who really need it."
