A BRADFORD man has been taken to hospital after his car collided with railings on a roundabout in East Bowling.
Police, ambulance services, and firefighters from Bradford were called to the incident on Wakefield Road, near the junction with New Hey Road, just before 3am yesterday.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the road had been closed as the incident was initially treated as a potentially fatal collision.
The 31-year-old man, who was the driver of a Seat Leon, was freed from the car by fire crews and taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary, where his injuries have since been downgraded to "non-life threatening."
The road was re-opened at 6am.
Investigations into the crash are continuing, and any witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 quoting log number 253 from August 30.
