ONE of Shakespeare's most loved comedies came to one of the district's most popular attractions last night.
Twelfth Night was performed in the grounds of East Riddlesden Hall, just outside Keighley, as part of the National Trust site's annual tradition of staging a Shakespeare play at the end of summer.
As in previous years, the play was performed by the Lord Chamberlain's Men, a troupe of actors who perform the play as it would have originally been performed in Shakespeare's time.
The entire cast is made up of men, with each actor playing multiple roles. The performance also features music played on traditional instruments between scenes.
The play revolves around identical twins who are separated by shipwreck and feature a cross-dressing heroine - and everyone in search of love.
One actor was playing a woman, playing a man, making for a unique viewing experience for the hundreds who attended.
