A SECOND boy has told a jury that he was sexually molested by a Bradford mosque worker.

The 12-year-old child said he was "disgusted" when Yasir Muhammed Hafiz tried to make him touch him indecently.

Giving evidence at Bradford Crown Court yesterday by video link, he accused Hafiz of "tickling him and stuff."

He said the defendant had also touched him on the bottom.

Hafiz, 31, of Daleside Walk, West Bowling, Bradford, is on trial denying 16 charges, relating to the 12-year-old and a boy aged nine.

They include nine allegations of sexual assault and seven of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

The boys claim Hafiz hugged and tickled them in a sexual manner, kissed one of them, and put their hands on his private parts.

David McGonigal, Hafiz's barrister, suggested to the children that they were making up the allegations.

He put it to the older boy that he had lied before about things, accusing a girl of punching him in the head when she hadn't.

The child agreed that he had been cautioned by the police for assault.

He denied being told off for running round at school trying to kiss girls.

But he told Mr McGonigal he did abscond from school after slapping another pupil and he had falsely blamed his father for assaulting him.

"You are used to lying about people and this is another example of your lies," Mr McGonigal said.

The boy denied this, saying he was telling the truth.

He said the alleged abuse made him feel disgusted with both Hafiz and himself.

Hafiz, who teaches the Koran at the Madrassah Nur Qur'an, on Parkside Road, West Bowling, is assisted in the dock by an interpreter.

The alleged offences took place between January 1, 2014, and February 13 this year.

The nine-year-old says that Hafiz sexually abused him on five separate occasions.

Hafiz told the police he had carried the boys but he denied any sexual misconduct with them.

Prosecutor Michael Collins said the issues for the jury to decide were if Hafiz had touched the children sexually and had he caused either or both of them to touch him indecently.

The trial, that is expected to last more than four days, continues.
