CHILDREN and their parents had fun at a teddy bears' picnic at a Bradford library.

The event, which attracted dozens of children and adults, took place at a packed Manningham Library.

The picnic also included arts and crafts, mask making and a visit from the Bookstart Bear.

The children also coloured in pictures of bears and made masks which they took home on Thursday.

Sue Wilkinson, team leader at Manningham Library, said: "All of the children enjoyed it.

"Most of the libraries in the district have held teddy bears' picnics during the summer.

"They have all been taking part in all of the activities.

"Unfortunately we couldn't hold it outside as we didn't have a green space big enough and had a lot of people here."

Teddy bears' picnics will take place at Burley-in-Wharfedale Library on Monday from 11am to 1pm and Baildon Village Community Garden, Baildon Library, Hallcliffe, on Friday, August 28, from 11am to 1pm.
